Match the specification before the price
Compare the same make, model year, variant, transmission and approximate mileage. City, registration and assembly can influence demand, but they should not be used to hide a different engine, trim or vehicle type.
Read the price as a range
A range tells you where comparable asking prices cluster; the seller still needs to explain why this car belongs near the top or bottom. One advert cannot establish a normal market price.
Check the listing's important omissions
Ask about mileage, exact variant, assembly, registration city, ownership, service history, accident or paint work, duplicate documents and warning lights. Missing fields do not prove a problem, but they should make you slower—not faster.
Use a report before viewing
